Coating thickness roller

The coating thickness wheel measures the thickness by rolling a calibrated wheel over the coated surface and directly reading the thickness value based on the depth of the indentation or changes in the contact point. It is used for rapid measurement of the application thickness of wet films or soft coatings, commonly employed in on-site quality control for paints and printing inks.
Selection
When selecting, consider the coating type and hardness to match the roller material. Use stainless steel rollers for wet film measurement and plastic rollers for soft coatings. The measurement range should cover common coating thicknesses, with clear and easy-to-read roller scales. The operating environment determines the roller size, with small rollers used in confined spaces. The roller edges should be smooth to avoid scratching the coating.
