Electric Spark Coating Leak Detector

The electric spark coating leak detector generates an electric field on the coating surface through a high-voltage probe. When there are pinholes or defects in the coating, the electric field breaks down the air, producing visible sparks, thereby detecting the continuity of the coating. It is used to inspect the integrity of insulating coatings on metal substrates, commonly applied in the inspection of anticorrosive layers on pipelines and storage tanks.
Selection
When selecting an electric spark coating pinhole detector, it is essential to consider the detection voltage range to match the coating thickness, choose between wet or dry detection methods based on the environment, select a probe shape suitable for the workpiece surface, ensure the device's weight and battery life meet on-site requirements, and verify the calibration certificate to guarantee measurement accuracy.
