Bar Film Coater

The rod Coater is a cylindrical rod with a fixed gap, which is manually or mechanically pushed to form a uniform wet film of coating on the substrate surface. Its function is to simulate the coating process in the laboratory for testing properties such as paint leveling and hiding power. Applications include ink printability evaluation, paper coating uniformity testing, and verification of surface treatment effects on plastic films.
Selection
When selecting, consider the substrate's flatness and size to match the length of the coating rod. Choose the corresponding wire diameter specification based on the required coating thickness. Select a smooth or wound surface structure according to the viscosity of the test material. Decide between stainless steel or aluminum alloy based on the frequency of use. Finally, choose the type of rod head, such as straight-ground or special textures, to align with the characteristics of the substrate.
