Surface Coating GlossMeter

The surface coating glossometer measures the intensity of reflected light from the coating surface using a photoelectric sensor and calculates the gloss value. It is used to detect the gloss uniformity of materials such as paint and plastic, monitoring coating quality in production lines and laboratories.
Selection
When selecting, consider matching the measurement angle to the sample's gloss range: use 20° for high gloss and 85° for matte surfaces. Ensure the instrument complies with standards such as ASTM D523, and verify the traceability certificate of the calibration plate. Choose an appropriate measurement aperture based on the sample's shape, and opt for portable models for on-site inspections.
