Experimental line scraping Rod

The experimental wire-wound drawdown bar forms a wet film by uniformly scraping the coating on the substrate surface using a metal rod, with the thickness controlled by the grooves on the rod. It is used to simulate the coating process in the laboratory, testing properties such as leveling and hiding power of coatings, and is suitable for evaluating the coating uniformity of inks and paints.
Selection
Select the rod material based on the viscosity of the test material; use stainless steel rods for high viscosity. Match the groove depth according to the coating thickness requirement, with common specifications ranging from 10 to 200 μm. Choose round or square rods depending on the substrate flatness, and opt for corrosion-resistant materials in high-temperature environments.
