Combustible gas probe

Combustible gas probes detect the concentration of flammable gases in the air through catalytic combustion or infrared absorption principles. When gas contacts the sensor, changes in resistance or attenuation of light intensity are converted into electrical signals, triggering alarm devices. They are used for leakage monitoring in places such as chemical plants and gas stations to ensure on-site safety.
Selection
When selecting a combustible gas probe, consider the type of gas to be detected and match it with appropriate sensor technology. Determine the explosion-proof rating and protection standards based on environmental characteristics. Refer to the measurement range and response time to meet monitoring requirements. Choose between diffusion or pump-suction sampling methods based on the installation location. Ensure long-term stability through regular calibration and maintenance.
