Four-sided manual coater

The four-sided manual applicator creates a uniform wet film on the substrate by scraping through four coating slots of varying gaps. It is used in the laboratory to simulate printing and coating processes, as well as to test material leveling and hiding effects. During operation, the applicator is manually pulled, with the slot depth controlling the coating thickness.
Selection
When selecting, consider the substrate size matching the coating width, the coating thickness range covering testing needs, and the coating gap precision affecting thickness control. Material durability relates to service life, and handle design concerns operational convenience. The applicable viscosity range corresponds to sample characteristics, and ease of cleaning affects maintenance efficiency.

Application of Two-Step Method with Pre-Coating and Fine-Coating in Eliminating Bubble Defects for Dual-Blade Coater
The dual-blade coater employs a two-step method of pre-coating and precision coating to eliminate bubble defects during the coating process. In the pre-coating stage, high shear force is applied to break the bubbles in the slurry, causing them to rupture and rise to the surface. The precision coating stage then precisely controls the coating thickness, removing any remaining bubbles to form a uniform wet film.
