Sag Determination Tester

The sag tester creates a thickness gradient by vertically scraping a wet film and observes the thickness at which the coating stops flowing to determine its anti-sagging properties. It is used to evaluate the thickness limit for coating application on vertical surfaces before construction, preventing sagging and deformation of the coating.
Selection
When selecting, consider that the scraper's range should cover the sagging thickness of the coating to be tested. Opt for stainless steel material for corrosion resistance, and ensure it includes a level to guarantee vertical alignment during testing. Compare with industry standard specifications to confirm clear, legible scales for easy reading, and ensure compatibility with the dimensions of substrates commonly used in the laboratory.
