Stainless Steel Coating Film Applicator

The stainless steel film applicator forms a wet film with controllable thickness by uniformly scraping the coating on the substrate surface with a flat blade. It is used in laboratories to simulate the coating process of paints and inks, and to test properties such as leveling and hiding power. It is suitable for the preparation of flat samples such as paper and metal plates.
Selection
Select the blade gap according to the viscosity of the material being tested. For conventional coatings, choose 100-200 μm; determine the size of the applicator based on the width of the substrate; verify the straightness of the blade edge and the surface smoothness; consider the anti-slip design of the handle; and ensure the thickness calibration value matches the actual requirements.
