Ultrasonic High-Temperature Thickness Gauge

The ultrasonic high-temperature thickness gauge emits high-frequency sound waves through a piezoelectric wafer that penetrate the material. Upon encountering the bottom surface, the waves are reflected back as echoes. The thickness is calculated by multiplying the round-trip time of the sound waves by the material's sound velocity. It is used for monitoring the thickness of materials such as metals and plastics in high-temperature environments, helping prevent failures caused by corrosion-induced thinning during the maintenance of pipelines and containers.
Selection
When selecting, confirm the acoustic wave penetrability of the material to be tested and match the probe frequency; choose high-temperature resistant probes and coupling agents based on the actual temperature range; consider the surface smoothness of the material to select contact or immersion measurement methods; check the instrument error range and calibration methods; ensure that the operating environment meets the required protection level standards.
