Resistive Temperature Sensor

Resistive temperature sensors measure temperature by utilizing the characteristic of metal resistance changing with temperature. When the temperature changes, the resistance value of the metal material varies, and the temperature can be determined by measuring this resistance value. These sensors are used in laboratory temperature control equipment, industrial process monitoring, and material property testing.
Selection
When selecting, consider the temperature range matching the usage environment: platinum materials are suitable for wide temperature ranges, while copper materials are suitable for normal temperature ranges. Pay attention to the corrosion resistance of the encapsulation material, and ensure the sheath material is compatible with the measured medium. The length of the connecting wires affects accuracy, and using three-wire or four-wire connections can reduce errors. For long-term stability, refer to the manufacturer’s aging data.
