Wet Paint Thickness Gauge

The wet paint thickness gauge measures the thickness of undried coatings through electromagnetic induction or eddy current principles. The probe contacts the wet film, generating signal changes that are used to calculate the thickness. It is used for real-time monitoring of coating uniformity during paint application, helping adjust spraying parameters to avoid excessive thickness or thinness. It is commonly employed in on-site processes such as automotive spraying and furniture coating.
Selection
When selecting, consider that the measurement range should cover common wet film thicknesses, the probe material should be resistant to solvent corrosion, and the device's protection rating should be suitable for the on-site environment. Verify whether the instrument's calibration method complies with industry standards, ensure the operation interface is simple and easy for one-handed use, and confirm that the battery life meets the demands of continuous operation.
