Portable Oxygen Leak Detector

Portable oxygen detectors measure the concentration of oxygen in the environment using electrochemical sensors. When oxygen diffuses into the sensor, it undergoes a redox reaction, generating an electrical current signal. This signal is then converted by the circuit into a concentration reading. These devices are used for safety monitoring in confined spaces, industrial process control, and environmental assessments to prevent risks associated with oxygen deficiency or excess.
Selection
When selecting, ensure the detection range covers the standard interval of 19.5%–23.5% VOL with a resolution of 0.1% VOL. The housing must have explosion-proof certification and IP65 protection. It should include audible and visual alarms as well as data logging capabilities. The sensor lifespan is approximately 2 years, with a recommended calibration cycle of 3 months. Prioritize models with a response time of less than 15 seconds and equipped with temperature and pressure compensation.
