Overview
Defelsko PosiTector 6000 FTS3 Coating thickness gauge is an external probe type special measuring instrument. It adopts the principle of electromagnetic induction thickness measurement and is used for the measurement of nonmagnetic Coating thickness on magnetic metal substrates, such as rubber, fire-proof coatings, etc. Measurement range is 0~ 6mm. The instrument has a wide diameter of Probe measurement and is dedicated to thicker coating measurement. It has good abrasion resistance. The hand-squeezed part is made of stainless steel.

Principle
The Coating thickness gauge uses the principle of electromagnetic induction thickness measurement to generate a magnetic field through the Probe to measure the thickness of the nonmagnetic coating on the magnetic metal substrate. When the Probe is close to the measured surface, the magnetic field change is related to the Coating thickness, and the instrument calculates the Coating thickness by detecting this change.

Steps
1. Install 3 * AAA alkaline battery
2. Select the system language (Chinese or English)
3. Align the FTS3 Probe to the coating surface under test
4. Perform measurement, the instrument automatically displays the thickness value
5. View statistics and graphics with Touchscreen
6. Connect to the computer using USB or Bluetooth interface and manage data through PosiSoft software

Only for nonmagnetic coating measurements on magnetic metal substrates
• Make sure the instrument is calibrated accurately before measurement
Avoid use in extreme environments
• Regularly check the battery level to ensure normal measurement
• Take care to protect the Probe from severe impact when using it
• Data storage needs to be exported or cleaned in time when it is full
