Overview
UK RK Applicator rod model KHC.10.7 is a wide-wound coating rod specially designed for scraping sample comparison experiments. The coating rod wet film thickness is 80 microns, the total length is 24.5 cm, the diameter is 9 mm, the application width is 140 mm, and the grip width is 60 mm. It is made of stainless steel. One end of the rod is equipped with a brown rubber head, which can be compared with two or more Coatings at one time.
Features
1. British imported wire-wound coating rod
2. Provide two rod lengths of 24.5 cm and 37.5 cm
3. The wet film thickness is accurate to 80 microns
4. Made of stainless steel, strong durability
5. One end is equipped with a brown glue head for easy holding operation
6. Simultaneous Spreader of Two or More Coatings for Comparison
Principle
The RK Applicator rod features a wide-wound design that creates an accurate Spreader gap by wrapping a wire around the surface of the rod. When using, the Coating is placed on the substrate and scraped evenly with the Applicator rod. The gap formed by the wire controls the Coating thickness, ensuring that each Spreader can obtain a 80 micron thick wet-film.
Applications
Scratch sample comparison test, Coating comparison test, sample prepative
Steps
1. Prepare Coating Samples to be Tested
2. Coating on the substrate surface
3. Applicator rod brown tip
4. Scrape evenly at the right angle and pressure
5. Observe the coating effect after completing the Spreader
Notice
• Applicator rod clean and drying before use
• Maintain uniform pressure and speed when scraping
• Applicator rod from being hit or bent
• Clean and maintain in time after use
• Note that the application width does not exceed 140 mm
