HCH-2000D Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge is a precision measuring instrument produced by KODIN. Measurement range of the instrument is 0.65-350 mm, display accuracy is 0.01mm, using new digital electronic technology, with small size, low power consumption, strong penetration, stable indication, high detection accuracy, and equipped with touch buttons, full Chinese display menu, LCD display, support Data storage, metric-to-British conversion and connection to microcomputers and printers.

Principle
The instrument is called the Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge, and its Working Principle is based on the ultrasonic pulse reflection method. The instrument emits ultrasonic pulses into the material under test through the Probe. When ultrasonic waves propagate inside the material and encounter another interface (such as the back surface), reflection occurs, and the instrument receives reflection echoes. The thickness of the material can be calculated by measuring the time it takes for ultrasonic waves to travel back and forth through the material, combined with the known Speed of sound of the material.

Steps
1. Press the ON/OFF key to turn it on.
2. Use the MENU key to open the menu for settings.
3. Use the ▲ ▲ key to adjust.
4. Press ENTER to confirm after adjustment.
5. Press the CAL key to calibrate.
6. Measured values can be stored manually.
7. The instrument will automatically shut down after five minutes of standby.
Notice
• Please ensure that the surface of the tested material is clean to ensure good coupling of Probe.
• Calibrating is a key step to ensure measurement accuracy, please press the CAL key and follow the prompts to calibrate.
• Instrument Ambient Temperature -10~ 60 ℃, relative humidity should be less than 90% RH.
• Please use 1.2-1 alkaline battery or rechargeable battery.
• The instrument has anti-drop and anti-vibration characteristics, but it is still necessary to avoid severe impact.
• When not in use for a long time, the instrument will automatically shut down after five minutes of standby to save power.
