The Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge works on the principle of ultrasonic pulse reflection. The instrument emits ultrasonic pulses to the material under test through Probe, which propagate inside the material and reflect back on the other side or at defects. The instrument measures the time for ultrasonic waves to travel back and forth in the material. Combined with the Speed of sound in known materials, the thickness of the material can be accurately obtained by microcomputer calculation.

1. Turn it on and check the battery level. 2. Set the correct Speed of sound value (range 1000~ 9990m/s) according to the tested material. 3. Clean the tested surface and apply the coupling agent. 4. Smooth couple the Probe on the surface of the tested part and observe whether the coupling status is good. 5. Read and record the thickness Measured value displayed on the LCD screen. 6. If you need to save the data, you can perform manual storage operations. 7. Probe cleaning after measurement. 8. The instrument will automatically shut down after five minutes of standby.
• Before measurement, the Speed of sound should be set correctly according to the measured material, otherwise it will affect the Measurement accuracy. • Make sure that the Probe is well coupled to the measured surface during measurement, which can be judged by the instrument coupling status display. The surface to be tested should be clean and flat, and a coupling agent should be used if necessary to ensure the effective transmission of ultrasonic waves. • Measurement range of the instrument is 0.7~ 350mm, please do not use beyond the range. • Ambient Temperature -10~ 60 ℃, relative humidity should be less than 90% RH, avoid use in extreme environments. • Please use 1.2-1 alkaline battery or rechargeable battery. • The instrument has an automatic shutdown function.
