8. Multifunctional display: high contrast ratio backlit display, unit can be switched, support multiple languages and flip display.
9. Powerful statistics: Statistical mode displays average, Standard Deviation, minimum/maximum thickness and readings, supports Data storage and screen capture.
10. Flexible power supply: use alkaline batteries or rechargeable batteries, built-in charger.
Principle
The PosiTector 200 D1 uses ultrasonic technology to transmit and receive ultrasonic signals through the Sensor for nondestructive measurement of Coating thickness on Non-metallic substrates. The technology is based on the propagation characteristics of sound waves in materials, ensuring fast and accurate thickness readings in line with relevant international standards.
Applications
Wood, plastic and other polymer coatings, concrete, fiberglass and other coatings, thick and soft coatings such as polyurea, asphalt neoprene, very thick polymers
Standards
ASTM D6132、ISO 2808
Steps
1. Prepare for measurement: Most applications do not need to be calibrated and used directly.
2. Turn on the device: Power Supply switch to start the thickness gauge.
3. Select Settings: Switch units (μm/mils), languages, etc. as needed.
4. Perform measurements: Place the Probe on the coating surface to obtain a thickness reading.
5. View statistics: View averages, Standard Deviations, and other data in real time in statistical mode.
6. Store data: Automatically store measurement results, each reading is marked with a date and time.
7. Data transfer: Connect to PC via USB port, use software for Data analysis and reporting.
