Overview
The SHG Comb wet film thickness gauge is a precision tool for measuring wet film thickness of new paintings. Made of stainless steel, it is durable and repeatability, offering five ranges up to 950 μm, and each Wet Film Comb is measured in metric microns.
Features
1. Precision stainless steel material, durable, repeatability
2. Measurement unit in metric micron for each Wet Film Comb
3. Available in five ranges up to 950μm
4. Division is 50μm, the number of teeth is 10
5. Unilateral design for easy operation
Principle
The Wet Film Comb is pressed vertically into the wet-film and removed, and the wet film thickness is determined by observing the shortest teeth infiltrated by the wet-film and the adjacent uninfiltrated teeth. The wet film thickness value is located between the scales of these two teeth.
Applications
Painting mass inspection, coating construction monitoring
Standards
GB/T 13452.2、ISO 2808
Steps
1. Press the Wet Film Comb with a range similar to the estimated thickness of the paint film vertically into the wet-film
2. Remove the Wet Film Comb from the wet-film
3. Read the scale value between the shortest tooth infiltrated by wet-film and the adjacent uninfiltrated tooth
Notice
• When selecting the range, it should be similar to the estimated thickness of the paint film
• The Wet Film Comb must be pressed vertically into the wet-film during measurement
• Correctly read the scale value between the shortest tooth that is infiltrated and the adjacent uninfiltrated tooth
• It should be cleaned and maintained in time after use
