Overview
The STM-IV Stormer Viscometer is a professional measuring instrument under the JINGTIAN brand. It is dedicated to measuring the viscosity of paints, coatings and other fluids. Its measurement results are expressed in Krebs units (KU values). The instrument uses a 16-bit microprocessor core control circuit. The paddle rotor swirls/spins at a fixed Rotation speed of 200 rpm. By measuring the resistance moment of the rotor in the fluid, it is converted into KU value, gram unit (gm) or centipoise (cP) value, which is displayed directly on the blue backlit LCD screen.

Principle
When the instrument is working, the paddle rotor swirls/spins in the measured fluid at a fixed Rotation speed of 200 rpm. The fluid resistance moment experienced by the rotor swirl/spin is detected and converted into the corresponding viscosity value by the computer system inside the instrument, and finally displayed directly on the screen in the form of Krebs units (KU), gram units (gm) or centipoise (cP).

Steps
1. Connect the Dedicated Power Adapter.
2. Place the tested sample in a suitable container.
3. Through the knob lifting device, immerse the paddle rotor into the sample to a specified depth.
4. Start the instrument and the rotor starts swirling/spinning at 200rpm.
5. Select and read the desired Viscosity unit (KU, GM or cP) on the display via the function keys.
Notice
* Please use the instrument's dedicated Power Adapter.
Make sure the rotor is clean and not damaged to ensure measurement accuracy.
When operating, immerse the rotor in the sample to a specified depth.
* Measurement range of the instrument is 40~ 141KU (32~ 1099g, 27~ 5274cP), please ensure that the viscosity of the measured sample is within this range.
