Overview
The LS220 film instrument is a magnetic and eddy current dual-use coating measuring instrument with an integrated design of the host and Probe, which is highly portable. It is suitable for film thickness measurement of nonmagnetic coatings (such as coatings, varnishes, enamels, chromium, galvanized) on ferromagnetic metal substrates such as steel and nonconductive coatings (such as coatings, anodic oxidation layers or Pottery and porcelain) on nonmagnetic metal substrates such as copper and aluminum, especially suitable for automotive paint top coating detection. The instrument is fast in measurement, only 0.5 seconds to complete a measurement, and does not need to be calibrated, and the operation is simple.
Features
1. Adopt a ruby probe, which is corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant to ensure long-term effective use.
2. No need to calibrate, just adjust zero, and the operation is simple.
3, with temperature compensation function and analog signal terminal digitalization function, to ensure the stability of Sensor signal.
4. Provide three measurement modes of iron-based measurement (Fe), non-iron-based measurement (NFe) and automatic identification (Fe/NFe).
5, dual-use Probe, automatic recognition of measurement matrix, fast automatic conversion.
6, the measurement of the nonmagnetic film thickness on the magnetic metal substrate such as steel, and the nonconductive film thickness on the nonmagnetic metal substrate such as copper and aluminum.
Principle
The LS220 film instrument works based on the principle of magnetic Induction and eddy Current. For ferromagnetic metal substrates, the magnetic Induction method is used to measure the film thickness of nonmagnetic coatings; for nonmagnetic metal substrates, the eddy Current method is used to measure the film thickness of nonconductive coatings. The instrument automatically recognizes the substrate type through the built-in Probe and quickly switches the measurement mode to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Applications
Automotive paint top coating detection, steel substrate coating measurement, copper and aluminum substrate coating measurement, coating Film thickness detection, varnishes Film thickness detection, enamel Film thickness detection, chromium layer Film thickness detection, galvanized layer Film thickness detection, anodic oxidation layer measurement, Pottery and porcelain coating measurement
Standards
DIN EN ISO 2808、JJG-818-2005、GB/T 4956-2003、GB/T 4957-2003
Steps
1, zero: zero operation on the non-coating substrate.
2. Select mode: Select iron-based measurement (Fe), non-iron-based measurement (NFe) or automatic identification (Fe/NFe) mode as needed.
3. Start measurement: Place the instrument Probe on the surface to be tested, and the instrument automatically recognizes the substrate and makes measurements.
4. Reading result: The display shows the coating thickness value, and the measurement interval is 0.5 seconds.
Notice
• Make sure the substrate surface is clean and drying without impurities before measurement.
The zeroing operation must be performed on a non-coated substrate to ensure measurement accuracy.
• Probe should be placed vertically on the measured surface during measurement to avoid tilting.
• The minimum measurement surface diameter is φ 25mm, and it is necessary to ensure that the measured area meets the requirements.
• For surface measurement, the minimum radius of curvature is 5mm for convex surfaces and 25mm for concave surfaces.
• Thinnest substrate requirements: Film thickness of ferromagnetic substrate is not less than 0.2mm, film thickness of nonmagnetic substrate is not less than 0.05mm.
• The operation temperature range is 0 ℃ -50 ℃, avoid use in extreme temperatures.
• Powered by 2 1.5V AAA alkaline batteries, check the battery level regularly.
Storage temperature range is -20 ℃ -60 ℃, avoid high temperature or humid environment.
