Overview
The HBO BA-1 Pasteur hardness gauge is a Portable hardness testing instrument, mainly used in the aluminum processing industry and the FRP industry. The instrument can measure the Pasteur hardness value (HBa) of the material and has a variety of hardness value conversion functions.
Features
1. Wide test range, from very soft pure aluminum to particularly hard aluminum alloy can be tested, the effective test range is equivalent to brinell hardness 25~ 150HB
2. No support required, only tested on one side of the sample, suitable for testing oversized and ultra-thick workpieces and assemblies
3. With MAX Maximum hold function, record the maximum hardness value during measurement
4. Additional measurement of material brinell hardness value (HB), Vickers hardness value (HV), Wechsler hardness value (HW), rockwell hardness value (HRB/HRE/HRF/HRH)
5. With average calculation function, it can calculate the average of up to 29 sets of data
6. Small and lightweight design, one-handed operation, one pressure can be used, no experience is required, and it can be used in any occasion
Principle
The Babbitt hardness gauge obtains the Babbitt hardness value by applying pressure on the surface of the material through the indenter and measuring the depth of the Crescent. The instrument adopts an electronic measurement system that can automatically record and calculate the hardness value.
Applications
Aluminum processing industry, FRP industry
Standards
ASTM B648-00、ASTM HD2583-07、GB/T 3854-2005
Steps
1. Install 2 AA batteries
2. Align the instrument indenter to the surface of the test sample
3. Press the instrument with one hand for testing
4. Read the hardness value on the display
5. Optional MAX Maximum Hold or Average Calculation
Notice
* Ambient Temperature should be in the range of 0~ 50 ℃
* Working environment humidity should be less than 80% RH
Make sure the battery is fully charged
* Confirm instrument calibrated before testing
Keep the test surface clean and flat
