Overview
Pasteur hardness gauge is mainly used to test aluminum and aluminum alloys. It is suitable for testing pure aluminum, softer aluminum alloys, ultra-thick aluminum alloys, aluminum alloy bars and assembled aluminum alloy products (such as aluminum alloy doors and windows, fire ladders, etc.). It is also used to test frp (fiberglass reinforced plastic), hard plastics, etc. Its improved version can be used for softer plastics, very soft metals, leather, rubber, etc.
Features
1. A lightweight Cellular hardness gauge;
2. Through anodic oxidation treatment, wear-resistant and rust-free, comfortable feel;
3. Ready to calibrate, one-handed operation, no experience, in any occasion, as long as the hand can be reached, can be tested;
4. Measurement range is wide, measurable Film thickness is as low as 1mm, from very soft pure aluminum to particularly hard aluminum alloy can be tested, effective Measurement range is equivalent to brinell hardness 25~ 135HBW;
5. Wide range of applications;
6. Sensitivity is high, the instrument has 100 scales, and the Sensitivity is much higher than the Webster Hardness Tester commonly used in the aluminum alloy industry;
7. No support required, only one side of the sample can be tested, without moving or supporting the sample, suitable for oversized, ultra-thick workpieces and assemblies.
8. Conversion is convenient, and Hardness values such as Brinell, Rockwell, Vickers, and Wechsler can be obtained through the conversion table.
Principle
The Pasteur hardness gauge adopts the Cedar Measurement principle, and applies pressure on the surface of the material through the 26 ° frusto-conical crimper to form Cedar, and evaluates the hardness of materials according to the depth or size of Cedar.
Applications
Aluminum and aluminum alloys, copper and copper alloys, FRP, hard plastics, lead, tin and other extra-soft metals, soft plastics, rubber, felt, leather
Standards
GB/T3854-2005, ASTM B648-2000, GB/T3854-2005 "Reinforced Plastics Bacol Hardness Test Method", ASTM B648 "Bacol hardness gauge measurement of aluminum alloy Hardness test method", ASTM D 2583-07 "Bacol hardness gauge measurement of hard plastics"
Notice
• Ensure that the film thickness of the sample is not less than 1mm during testing;
• When the Hardness range is 42~ 52HBa, note that Indication Error and repeatability error are +/- 2HBa;
• When the Hardness range is 84~ 88HBa, note that Indication Error and repeatability error are +/- 1HBa;
• When using the improved version, it is necessary to confirm that it is suitable for extra-soft metals or soft materials.
