Principle
The PosiTector BHI3 hardness gauge measures Hardness values by applying pressure on the material surface through the indenter, using the Barcol Hardness scale to ensure accuracy and traceability. The device supports Hi-RES mode for improved Display resolution and meets international standards. Real-time feedback of measurement results through continuous updates and data processing functions.
Applications
Aluminium production, forgings, castings, material inspection, FRP/GRP-fibre and fiberglass reinforced plastics, Duro or hard thermoplastics, degree of curing of composites
Standards
ASTM B648/D2583、DIN EN 59、AS/NZS 3572.22
Steps
1. Turn on the device power supply
2. Select Measurement mode (e.g. Hi-RES mode)
3. Probe indenter into contact with material surface
4. Observe screen countdown and Measured values
5. Use the RESET function to restore the factory settings (if necessary)
6. Transfer data via USB, WiFi or Bluetooth
7. Use PosiSoft software to view and analyze data
Notice
Make sure the equipment is calibrated before measurement
Avoid use in extreme environment conditions to avoid affecting accuracy
• When using a spare indenter, replace the tool correctly
• Regularly check the battery level to ensure that the device is working properly
Pay attention to batch and sub-batch management when storing data
• Follow HiLo alert tips to avoid Measured values exceeding limits
• Update software to maintain device performance
