Overview
PN-BST Smoothness tester is a testing instrument for paper and Cardboard surface smoothness (Buick Bekk type) designed and developed according to the national standard GB/T456. Smoothness is an indicator for evaluating the smoothness of paper surface. The instrument adopts High Accuracy pressure sensor, original imported oil-free vacuum pump and other measurement and control systems to achieve mercury-free measurement. It has functions such as testing, display, memory, printing, data processing, etc. It has the characteristics of convenient operation and stable performance.

Principle
Smoothness refers to the time required for a certain amount of air to be discharged between the sample surface and the annular surface under a specific contact state and a certain pressure difference, expressed in seconds (s). The longer the time, the better the smoothness of the paper. The instrument uses a measurement and control system composed of High Accuracy pressure sensor, vacuum pump, volume block and solenoid valve to mechanically apply lever mechanical loading and cam mechanism unloading to achieve accurate measurement of this process.
