Principle
The Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge uses the principle of ultrasonic pulse reflection for measurement. When the ultrasonic pulse emitted by the Probe reaches the object under test through the coupler and propagates within the object, reflection occurs when it encounters the bottom surface of the material or the defective interface. The instrument calculates the thickness of the material by measuring the time it takes for ultrasonic waves to travel back and forth through the material, combined with the known Speed of sound.

Steps
1. Turn it on and check the battery level.
2. Set or calibrate Speed of sound according to the measured material.
3. Apply an appropriate amount of coupling agent to the surface of the Probe and the tested part.
4. The Probe is smoothly coupled to the surface of the tested part.
5. Observe the coupling status display to ensure good coupling and read the Measured value.
6. If you need to save the data, you can store it manually.
7. Probe cleaning after measurement.
8. The instrument will automatically shut down after five minutes of standby.
Notice
* Before measurement, the Speed of sound should be set correctly according to the measured material.
Make sure that the Probe is well coupled to the surface of the tested part through a coupling agent to obtain accurate readings.
* Instrument Ambient Temperature -10~ 60 ℃, relative humidity should be less than 90% RH.
* Please use 1.2-1 alkaline batteries or rechargeable batteries.
When not in use for a long time, please remove the battery.
Avoid strong impact or vibration of the instrument.
When cleaning the instrument, please use a soft dry cloth to wipe it.
