Overview
CTG-800-3000FN Coating thickness gauge is an integrated dual-use standard instrument of YIBAI brand. It adopts the principle of magnetic Induction and eddy Current to automatically identify magnetic or nonmagnetic substrates and automatically convert them. It can quickly, non-destructive and precise measurement of Coating thickness, suitable for laboratories and engineering sites. Widely used in the automotive industry, manufacturing industry, metal processing industry, chemical industry, commodity inspection and other fields, it is an instrument required by the material protection profession. The instrument has the functions of backlight, large screen digital display, single point and multi-point calibrating, high and low temperature resistance, drop resistance, probe wear resistance (more than 500,000 times), good test Stability, fast speed, in line with national standards and international standards.
Features
1. Measuring methods of magnetic Induction (F) and eddy Current (N) are used to automatically identify the type of substrate and convert it.
2. The spring guide sleeve probe equipped with super wear-resistant cemented carbide probe ensures stable compression force and sampling value.
3. High accuracy, Stability, measurement of 1-5μm ultra-thin coatings.
4. Measurement speed is fast, up to 0.3 seconds/time.
5. Large screen digital display, clear and easy to read, with digital backlight, suitable for night use.
6. Support Single Measurement and Continuous Measurement mode.
7. With metric-to-metric unit conversion function (μm/mil).
8. New design of shell and internal structure, beautiful, anti-drop, anti-Impact.
9. Measurement accuracy is good.
10. Two shutdown methods: manual and automatic shutdown.
Principle
The Coating thickness gauge works based on the principles of magnetic Induction and eddy Current. Magnetic Induction (F function) is used to detect nonmagnetic Coating thickness on magnetic substrates (e.g. steel, iron), such as paint, plastic, etc.; eddy Current (N function) is used to detect insulation Coating thickness on nonmagnetic substrates (e.g. aluminum, copper), such as paint, plastic, etc. The instrument automatically recognizes the substrate type and switches the corresponding Measurement mode for fast, non-destructive Film thickness measurement.
Applications
Automobile industry, manufacturing industry, metal processing industry, chemical industry, commodity inspection
Standards
National standards, international standards
Steps
Install 2 AA batteries.
2. Turn on the instrument power.
3. Touch the probe on the surface to be tested, and the instrument automatically recognizes the type of substrate (magnetic or nonmagnetic).
4. Select Single Measurement or Continuous Measurement mode.
5. Read the Film thickness value on the display screen.
6. Optional switching metric and imperial units (μm/mil).
7. Manual shutdown or wait for automatic shutdown after use.
Notice
- Ensure that the substrate Film thickness is not less than 0.3mm.
- Use within the radius of curvature: magnetic substrate convex surface ≥ 1.5mm, concave surface ≥ 25mm; nonmagnetic substrate convex surface ≥ 3mm, concave surface ≥ 50mm.
- Operating temperature range is -10 ℃ to 50 ℃, relative humidity < 80%.
- Avoid long-term use in extreme environments to prevent affecting accuracy.
- Regularly check probe abrasion to ensure measurement Stability.
- Shut down in time after use to save power.
