Overview
The American RDS 6 #1/4 "Applicator rod is a Mayer Rods, specially used for preparing 13.7 micron wet film thickness coatings. The product has a length of 400mm and an application width of 300mm. It uses a wire-wound production process, a diameter of 6.35mm, and is made of stainless steel. It is designed to evenly coat inks or coatings on the substrate by roller painting and scraping through grooves, suitable for High Accuracy wire-rod film applicators.
Features
1.Accurate control of wet film thickness to 13.7μm
2. Wire-wound production process, optional diameter including 6.35mm
3. Total length 400mm, application width 300mm, hand width 50 + 50mm, easy to operate
4. Made of stainless steel, durable and easy to clean
5. Steel wire diameter 0.15mm to ensure Spreader accuracy
6. Suitable for High Accuracy film equipment to ensure flat coating
Principle
The Applicator rod is designed with different grooves to control inks or coatings on substrates (e.g. film, paper) by means of roller painting and scratch coating. The groove structure allows precise control of the Coating amount, ensuring a flat, uniform thickness wet-film coating.
Applications
Spreader and High Accuracy wire-rod film applicator for film, paper and other substrates
Steps
1. Applicator rod mounted on High Accuracy bar film machine
2. Coatings and substrates (such as film or paper)
3. Uniform Spreader Coating by roller painting or scraping
4. Spreader process to ensure wet film thickness of 13.7 μm
5. Clean Applicator rod after Spreader for next use
Notice
• Applicator rod clean and free of residue before use
• Pay attention to control the speed and pressure of the Spreader during operation to keep the thickness consistent
• Avoid cleaning with corrosion chemicals to extend the life of stainless steel
• Only compatible High Accuracy wire-rod film applicators
• Clean in time after Spreader to prevent Coating from drying up and blocking the groove
