Overview
The AMITTARI AS-120-O Shore Shore Durometer is a model in the AS-120 series, which is mainly used to determine the hardness of materials. It uses an R1.2 hemispherical crimp with a Measurement range of less than 20DO, and is suitable for hardness testing of materials such as very soft rubber, very soft plastics, thermal plasticity plastics, sponges, foams, low density Spinning & weaving spindles, and human and animal tissues.
Features
1. Integrated design, small size and light weight.
2. With MAX Maximum latch, under-voltage alarm indication function, automatic shutdown and manual shutdown function.
3. Use USB data cable output to communicate with PC.
4. Provide Bluetooth data output selection.
5. When the battery voltage is lower than the specified value, it is automatically indicated.
6. Numbers show, ignoring the difference.
7. Metric/imperial unit conversion, with average calculation function.
8. Automatic shutdown and manual shutdown.
9. Using computer technology, digital filtering technology and other professional technologies, the material thickness can be accurately measured.
10. Using the optional RS232C software and cable, it can communicate with a PC computer for data acquisition, processing, analysis, and printing.
Principle
The Shore Shore Durometer applies pressure to the material through the head of the crimping needle to measure Crowd Hardness. The AS-120-O uses an R1.2 hemispherical crimping needle to press into the measured material under specified conditions, converts it to Hardness value according to the pressing depth or resistance, and displays the result digitally. It also supports data output and calculation functions.
Applications
Very Soft Rubber, Very Soft Plastics, Thermal Plasticity Plastics, Sponges, Foams, Low density Spinning & weaving Spins, Human and Animal Tissues
Standards
GB/T 531-1999、GB/T 2411-80、DIN53505、ISO868、ISO7619、ASTMD2240、JIS K7215
Steps
1. Make sure the battery is installed correctly and the power supply is sufficient.
2. Select the material to be tested to ensure that the surface is flat and clean.
3. Align the hardness gauge needle vertically with the surface of the material to be tested.
4. Apply pressure and maintain stability until the measurement is completed.
5. Read the Hardness Value, Average or MAX Maximum on the LCD display.
6. Optional USB, RS232C or Bluetooth output data to PC for further processing.
7. Manual shutdown or wait for automatic shutdown after use.
Notice
* Ambient Temperature should be 0~ 40 ℃, Humidity less than 90% RH.
* Avoid use in humid or extreme temperature environments.
Regularly check the battery voltage and replace it in time when it is under voltage.
Make sure the needle head is clean and free of damage.
* Keep the needle vertical during measurement to avoid tilting.
* When using Optional accessories, make sure the connection is correct.
Avoid heavy pressure and impact when storing.
