Overview
HuiNuo QKL type initial drying anti-crack tester is a special equipment designed and manufactured according to the national standard GB9779-88, which is mainly used to evaluate the initial drying anti-crack performance of architectural coatings and indoor and outdoor building putty under the specified wind speed conditions.
Features
1. Specially designed for the initial drying crack resistance test of architectural coatings and putty.
2. Built-in axial flow fan, test wind tunnel, test frame, air volume control device, Timer and anemometer, complete structure.
3. Equipped with adjustable wind speed Control system, the wind speed can be precisely adjusted within the range of 3 +/- 0.3m/s.
4. Integrated High Accuracy Timer, with a wide delay range (0.01 seconds to 99 hours and 99 minutes), and can be preset arbitrarily.
5. Two specimens can be placed simultaneously for parallel testing to improve testing efficiency.
Principle
The tester generates a stable airflow in the test wind tunnel through an axial flow fan. The scraped test plate is placed on the test plate frame parallel to the airflow direction in the wind tunnel, and the wind speed is precisely controlled at 3 +/- 0.3m/s through the air volume control device. After starting, the Timer starts to work, and automatically stops after reaching the preset drying time required by the product standard. Finally, the surface of the test plate is checked by visual inspection for crazing to evaluate the initial drying crack resistance of the material.
Applications
Initial drying crack resistance test of architectural coatings and indoor and outdoor building putty
Steps
1. Anemometer operation: install the battery and connect the probe; turn on the power supply, put the correction switch in the "full" position, adjust the knob to make the meter pointer full; then put the correction switch in the "zero" position, adjust the knob to make the meter pointer return to zero; repeability calibrated until accurate.
2. Timer operation: Before booting, adjust the timer to the required countdown or positive timing mode as needed, and use the “+”、“-” key to set the specific time (hours, minutes, seconds). Do not change the preset key after booting.
3. Sample preparation: Spreader the main paint or putty on the prepared test plate surface according to the product instructions, and immediately place the test plate on the test plate rack in the wind tunnel to ensure that the test plate is parallel to the direction of the airflow.
4. Start test: Turn on the power supply of the testing machine, the power indicator light is on, the axial flow fan is started, and the Timer starts timing.
5. Wind speed regulation: Gently pull the probe plug to expose the hot ball, align the red dot of the probe with the wind direction, and insert it vertically into the test hole to the center of the test plate. Observe the anemometer pointer and adjust the wind speed control knob to stabilize the wind speed within 3 +/- 0.3m/s.
6. End and observation: When the Timer reaches the preset time, the testing machine automatically stops working. Take out the test plate and visually detect whether the surface is crazing.
Notice
• The preset work of Timer must be completed before booting, and the preset key of Timer must not be changed without authorization after booting, otherwise the timing will be invalid.
• When using wind speed timing, it is necessary to calibrate strictly according to the operation steps to ensure accurate measurement.
• When inserting a wind speed probe, make sure that the red dot of the probe is aligned with the wind direction and inserted vertically into the test hole.
When adjusting the wind speed, adjust the control knob slowly and closely observe the anemometer pointer to stabilize the wind speed within the required range.
After the test, the test plate should be carefully removed for observation to avoid additional damage to the surface of the test plate.
• Please follow the equipment instructions for standard operation and maintenance.
