Overview
The Defelsko PosiTector 6000 FNS1 Coating thickness gauge is a standard dual function Coating thickness gauge with a universal split FNS1 Probe that enables simultaneous measurement of Coating thickness on magnetic and nonmagnetic substrates. Measurement ranges from 0 to 1500 microns, the instrument can store 250 measurements and is equipped with Posisoft analysis software for data management.

Principle
The PosiTector 6000 FNS1 Coating thickness gauge uses the magnetic Induction and eddy Current dual Measurement principles. For ferrous metal substrates, the magnetic Induction principle is used to measure nonmagnetic Coating thickness; for non-ferrous metal substrates, the eddy Current principle is used to measure nonconductive Coating thickness. The instrument can automatically identify the substrate type and switch the corresponding Measurement mode.

Steps
1. Install 3 AAA alkaline batteries
2. Choose F Probe or N Probe as needed
3. Probe contact with the coating surface to be tested
4. The instrument automatically recognizes the substrate type and begins measurement
5. View measurement results through Touchscreen
6. Connect to the computer using the USB interface and analyze the data through PosiSoft software
Notice
• Ensure that the Probe is in full contact with the coated surface for accurate readings
• Regularly calibrate using Defelsko calibrating standards (STDS1, STDA1)
• Avoid use in strong magnetic or electric field environments
• Pay attention to the battery level and replace it in time to ensure Measurement accuracy
When storing measurement data, be careful not to exceed the limit of 1000 values
