Overview
The NIRUN STM-2 digital Stormer Viscometer is an instrument dedicated to measuring the viscosity of paints, coatings, inks and other products. Its measurement results are expressed in KU values. The instrument technical indicators cover STM-1 to STM-4 models on the market and comply with the international standard ASTM D562.

Principle
The instrument directly drives the rotor to swirl/spin in the sample via a stepper motor, measuring the torque required to maintain a specific speed (200rpm) and converting it into a viscosity value (KU value, Grammage or centipoise). The process complies with the principle of Stormer viscosity measurement and is linearly calibrated on a full scale by computer to ensure accuracy.

Steps
Prepare the sample and place it in a container of the specified size (1 pint or 0.5 pint).
2. Use the knob lifting mechanism to adjust the height of the instrument and immerse the rotor in the sample to a suitable depth.
3. Start the instrument, and the stepper motor drives the rotor to swirl/spin at a speed of 200rpm.
4. The instrument automatically measures and displays the viscosity value (KU, g, cP) and temperature in real time.
5. The required measurement value can be locked.
6. After the test is completed, the data can be output through the print port.

Please use a container of the specified specification for testing.
* Pay attention to the measurement range of the instrument (40~ 141KU, 32~ 1099g, 27~ 5274cP), the instrument will issue an alarm if it exceeds the range.
* Power frequency is within the range of 100V-240V allowed by the adapter.
* The instrument has High Accuracy (accuracy +/- 1% F. S, repeability +/- 0.5% F. S), and the operation needs to be standardized to avoid errors.
* Optional special viscosity thermostatic sink, micro printer, SNB data collection and drawing software and standard oil for extended functionality.
