Reactive dyes―The linkage between the dyes and the cellulosic fibers―Determination of the acidic or basic hydrolizing properties

GB/T 9339-2014 "Reactive Dyes—Determination of the Resistance of the Dye-Fibre Bond to Acids and Alkalis" is applicable to the quality inspection of reactive dye products and the evaluation of color fastness in textiles. The test principle involves immersing printed or dyed samples in acid and alkali solutions, respectively, then sandwiching them with standard adjacent fabric. Test conditions are controlled using instruments such as an electric thermostatic water bath, perspiration color fastness tester, and washing color fastness tester. Finally, the degree of color change in the sample and staining of the adjacent fabric are assessed based on the gray scale or a color measuring instrument, quantifying the hydrolysis resistance of the dye-fibre bond. This provides a scientific basis for dye selection and textile quality control.
