ASTM ZAHN Viscosity Cup

The ASTM Zahn viscosity cup determines viscosity by measuring the time it takes for a fluid to flow completely out through a small hole at the bottom of the cup. It is used for on-site rapid testing in industries such as coatings and inks, offering simple operation and intuitive results.
Selection
When selecting, consider the viscosity range of the fluid being measured, as different cup numbers correspond to different orifice sizes. Choose stainless steel or nickel-plated materials based on the characteristics of the substance. It should be used in conjunction with a stopwatch, and attention should be paid to the effect of temperature on viscosity.
