Sag resistance test Applicator

The sagging test applicator uses a grooved scraper to apply a wet film of decreasing thickness onto a substrate. After standing, the traces of paint flow due to gravity are observed. It is used to evaluate the anti-sagging performance of coatings during application and to control the application thickness in paint and ink production sites.
Selection
When selecting, consider that the scraper material should be corrosion-resistant, the number of grooves should cover the commonly used film thickness range, and the blade precision should meet standard tolerances. The substrate should be compatible with the dimensions of commonly used tinplate or glass plates in the laboratory, and the operation handle design should comply with ergonomic principles.
