Differential Interference Contrast (DIC) Microscope

Phase contrast microscopy converts the phase differences of light waves passing through a sample into amplitude differences, creating contrast between light and dark in transparent specimens. It is used to observe unstained living cells, microorganisms, and other transparent samples, allowing direct visualization of cellular activities in the fields of biology and medicine.
Selection
When selecting, consider the thickness of the sample and the refractive index matching ring plate. The objective lens is marked with the PH designation. Choose a long working distance objective lens based on the thickness of the culture dish, and use a high-eye-point eyepiece. The illumination system must include center adjustment, and the condenser must have a phase contrast slot.
