Leveling time

Leveling time refers to the time required for the coating to self-eliminate brush marks and achieve a smooth surface after application. The principle is that the liquid flows under the influence of gravity to fill uneven areas, and its purpose is to observe the surface smoothness of the coating. It is applied in the evaluation of surface effects after the application of paints and inks.
Selection
The selection of leveling time should be based on the construction environment's temperature and humidity, coating thickness, substrate absorbency, and product technical parameters. Materials with high viscosity require longer leveling times. In practical testing, a drawdown bar or leveling tester can be used under standard conditions to observe the disappearance of surface texture.
