Semi-automatic Rod coater

The semi-automatic rod Coater evenly spreads the slurry on the substrate surface by driving the coating rod at a constant speed via a motor, forming a wet film. It is used in laboratories to simulate the coating process and prepare test samples for paints and inks. During operation, the substrate is fixed, and the coating speed and thickness are set to complete the coating preparation.
Selection
When selecting, consider matching the substrate dimensions to the coating width, and ensure the rod diameter corresponds to the required wet film thickness. Stainless steel material is suitable for most slurries, while special coatings require corrosion-resistant materials. The motor must have constant speed control functionality, with a speed adjustment range covering experimental requirements. An accompanying thickness calibration certificate ensures coating precision.

Application of Two-Step Method with Pre-Coating and Fine-Coating in Eliminating Bubble Defects for Dual-Blade Coater
The dual-blade coater employs a two-step method of pre-coating and precision coating to eliminate bubble defects during the coating process. In the pre-coating stage, high shear force is applied to break the bubbles in the slurry, causing them to rupture and rise to the surface. The precision coating stage then precisely controls the coating thickness, removing any remaining bubbles to form a uniform wet film.
