Overview
The Defelsko PosiTector 6000 FT1 Portable platings thickness gauge is an integrated standard magnetic Coating thickness gauge with built-in Probe and supports one-handed operation. The instrument is used to measure the thickness of nonmagnetic coatings on ferrous metals (such as steel), especially for thick protective coatings such as epoxy, rubber, foam fire-proof coatings, etc. Measurement range 0~ 6mm, display data through color LCD screen.

Principle
The PosiTector 6000 FT1 Coating thickness gauge works based on the principle of magnetic Induction. The built-in FT1 Probe detects the thickness of nonmagnetic coatings on ferrous metal substrates, and the measurement signal is processed and displayed on a color LCD screen.

Steps
1. Install 3 * AAA alkaline battery
2. Power on and select the system language (e.g. Chinese or English).
3. Probe the instrument on a nonmagnetic coating surface of a ferrous metal substrate
4. Take measurements and read the thickness data on the display
5. Connect to a computer using a USB port, and transfer and analyze data through the PosiSoft software suite
6. Measured values or screen images as needed
