Overview
The TRUIT TR 1002/2 Ford viscosity cup is a flow time cup designed according to Ford standards for the measurement of the viscosity of liquids. It is made with high-quality aluminum precision, with a capacity of about 100ml and a small hole in the bottom. The material Tack is evaluated by measuring the time it takes for a certain volume of sample in the cup to flow out of the bottom hole. The flow time can be converted into a viscosity value using a specific formula. The product complies with ASTM D1200, ASTM D 333, ASTM D 365 standards and is widely used in the Coatings, paints and coatings industries, especially in the field of automotive manufacturing and restoration.
Features
1. The main material is high-quality aluminum alloy (anodic oxidation)
2. The nozzle is made of high-quality stainless steel
3. Capacity is 100ml
4. Cup body size: top outer diameter φ 82mm, cup body outer diameter φ 56mm
5. The diameter of the flow hole is 2.53mm, the outflow time is 40~ 100 seconds, and the viscosity range is 25~ 120cSt
Principle
The Ford viscosity cup evaluates the Tack of a material by measuring the time it takes for a certain volume of the sample in the cup to flow out of the bottom hole. It converts the flow time into a viscosity value using a specific formula to measure the viscosity characteristics of the liquid.
Applications
Coatings, paints and coatings, automotive manufacturing and repair
Standards
ASTM D1200、ASTM D 333、ASTM D 365
Steps
1. Pour the sample into a Ford viscosity cup to full capacity
2. Record the time required for the sample to completely flow out of the bottom hole
3. Convert the flow time to the viscosity value using a specific formula
Notice
• Ensure that the cup body is clean to avoid residues affecting the Measurement accuracy
• Check whether the nozzle is in good condition before use to prevent blockage
• Operate strictly according to the outflow time range (40~ 100 seconds)
• Avoid use in extreme temperature or humidity environments to prevent material deformation or corrosion
