Overview
The TRUIT TR 1002/5 Ford viscosity cup is a flow time cup designed according to Ford standards for the measurement of the viscosity of liquids. It is precisely made of high-quality aluminum, with a capacity of about 100ml and a small hole in the bottom. The material Tack is evaluated by measuring the time it takes for a certain volume of the sample in the cup to flow out of the bottom hole, and the flow time can be converted into a viscosity value. The product is widely used in the Coatings, paints and coatings industries, especially in the field of automotive manufacturing and restoration.
Features
1. The main material is high-quality aluminum alloy (anodic oxidation)
2. The nozzle is made of high-quality stainless steel
3. Capacity is 100ml
4. Cup body size: top outer diameter φ 82mm, cup body outer diameter φ 56mm
5. Flow hole diameter 5.2mm, outflow time 20~ 105 seconds, viscosity measurement range 200~ 1200cSt
Principle
The Ford viscosity cup evaluates the Tack of a material by measuring the time it takes for a certain volume of sample in the cup to flow out of the bottom hole. It uses a design with a small hole at the bottom to record the flow time when the liquid flows out of the hole, and can use a specific formula to convert the flow time to a viscosity value, so as to realize the measurement of liquid viscosity.
Applications
Coatings, paints, coatings industry, automotive manufacturing, automotive repair
Standards
ASTM D1200、ASTM D 333、ASTM D 365
Steps
1. Prepare Ford viscosity cup and liquid to be tested
2. Pour the liquid into the cup until it is full
3. Record the time required for the liquid to completely flow out of the bottom hole
4. Convert the flow time to the viscosity value using a specific formula
Notice
• Make sure the cup is clean and drying before use
• Operate strictly according to the outflow time range of 20 to 105 seconds
• Avoid use in liquids beyond the viscosity range of 200~ 1200cSt
• Regularly check the nozzle and cup body for damage or blockage
