Overview
Ultrasonic flaw detection (UFD) instrument is a portable industrial nondestructive Flaw detector that can detect, locate, evaluate and diagnose various defects (crazing, porosity, pores, inclusions, etc.) inside workpieces without damage and accuracy. It can be used in both laboratories and engineering sites.
Features
1. Powered by lithium battery, working time is 8 hours.
2. Sturdy and durable, waterproof and dustproof, with good anti-interference ability;
3. Large screen highlight display, suitable for testing in sunlight and culverts.
4. With waterproof, oil-proof and dustproof functions, the service life is extended, which is several times the service life of conventional Flaw detectors;
5. Leader/follower menu, designed with shortcut buttons and digital shuttle wheel, easy to operate;
6. Full digital true color liquid crystal display, background color and waveform Color can be selected according to the environment, and the liquid crystal luminance can be freely set;
7. The instrument is light and portable, can be held with one hand, and is durable;
8. Using standard test blocks to automatically generate DAC and AVG Linear dispersion, the sampling points are not limited, and can be compensated and corrected;
9. Automatic display of echo-related parameters (depth D, level P, distance S, amplitude H);
10. Switch freely between three scales (depth D, level P, distance S).
11. 100 flaw detection channels, allowing you to freely enter and store any industry's flaw detection standards (expandable).
12. Can store 300 A-shaped graphics, parameters (can be expanded according to user requests);
13. Automatically calculate the defect equivalent φ value, peak memory function;
14. Two detection methods: peak and edge;
15. Three probe methods: single crystal, double crystal, and penetration;
16. Automatic matching damping, intelligent operation for fast flaw detection, and automatic alarm at the gate.
17. Custom flaw detection process can be generated according to the actual workpiece, and there is no need to carry test blocks for on-site flaw detection.
Principle
Ultrasonic flaw detection (UFD) instruments use the characteristics of ultrasonic waves propagating through materials to detect internal defects in workpieces by emitting ultrasonic waves and receiving retracted waves. When ultrasonic waves encounter defects, reflection or scattering occurs, and the instrument analyzes the echo signal to locate, evaluate and diagnose defects.
Applications
Boiler, Pressure Vessel, Aerospace, Electric Power, Petroleum, Chemical, Offshore Oil, Pipeline, Shipbuilding, Automobile, Machinery Manufacturing, Metallurgy, Metal Processing, Steel Structure, Railway Transportation, Nuclear Power, Universities
Steps
1. Turn on the instrument power supply;
2. Select the flaw detection channel and probe method;
3. Set the material sound speed and gain parameters;
4. Generate DAC or AVG Linear dispersion using standard test blocks;
5. Place the probe on the surface of the workpiece for scanning.
6. Observe the echo display and automatically calculate the defect parameters.
7. Store A-shaped graphics and flaw detection data.
8. Turn off the power of the instrument.
Notice
• Operating temperature in the range of -27~ 70 ℃;
• Avoid use in extreme environments to prevent affecting instrument performance;
• Regularly check the probe and cable connections to ensure no damage.
• Pay attention to moisture-proof and dust-proof during storage to prolong service life;
• Follow safety regulations when operating to prevent electric shock or mechanical injury.
