This standard establishes comprehensive technical specifications for aluminum foil materials used in the positive electrode current collectors of lithium-ion batteries, systematically defining core requirements such as the chemical composition, mechanical properties, dimensional tolerances, and surface quality of the aluminum foil. Specifically addressing the needs of power battery applications, the standard innovatively introduces a category for double-sided coated foil and sets strict grading for coating areal density tolerances, with general precision (±0.10 g/m²) and high precision (±0.05 g/m²). In the testing phase, a photoelectric direct-reading emission spectrometer is required to analyze trace metal element content; an online laser pinhole detector is used to monitor micro-pore defects in the foil (with a precision of Φ ≤ 0.02 mm); a universal material testing machine is employed to measure tensile strength and elongation; and a surface wetting tension tester is utilized to evaluate coating adhesion. Additionally, the temperature control accuracy of core production equipment, such as rolling mills and annealing furnaces, must reach ±15°C and ±10°C, respectively, with the establishment of periodic calibration mechanisms to collectively ensure the high conductivity and processing stability of aluminum foil as a current collector material.
