Yoke-Type Magnetic Particle Inspection Unit

The yoke-type magnetic particle flaw detector generates a magnetic field through the yoke to magnetize ferromagnetic materials. Surface defects form leakage magnetic fields that attract magnetic particles, displaying traces, and it is used to detect surface and near-surface cracks in welds and castings. During operation, it needs to contact the workpiece and is suitable for flat and curved surface inspections.
Selection
When selecting, consider the thickness and shape of the material being tested. The lifting force of the magnetic yoke must meet standards. AC magnetization is suitable for surface defects, while DC or half-wave magnetization is suitable for near-surface defects. Choose portable or fixed equipment based on the working environment, and ensure that the yoke opening distance and probe type are compatible with the workpiece.
