Standard Viscosity Measuring Cup

The standard viscosity cup measures viscosity by timing how long it takes for a fluid to flow out through a small hole at the bottom. The cup body is marked with a calibrated hole, and the outflow time is proportional to the fluid viscosity. It is used for on-site rapid testing of fluid flow characteristics in industries such as coatings and inks.
Selection
When selecting, consider matching the measurement range to the sample viscosity. Commonly used No. 2, No. 4, and No. 6 cups correspond to different viscosity ranges. Pay attention to the wear resistance of the cup orifice material; stainless steel is suitable for fluids containing particles. Verify the certification standards of the measuring cup, such as ISO 2431 or ASTM D4212. Choose between mechanical or electronic timing models based on the frequency of use.
