Ultrasonic Film Coating Thickness Gauge

The ultrasonic coating thickness gauge emits high-frequency sound waves through the probe towards the coating, receives echoes reflected from the substrate interface, and calculates the coating thickness based on the sound wave propagation time. It is used to measure the thickness of paint and coatings on substrates such as metals and plastics, and to control coating quality in automotive and shipbuilding manufacturing.
Selection
When selecting, consider the substrate type and curvature. Use a standard probe for metal substrates and a small-diameter probe for small curved surfaces. Ensure the measurement range covers the actual thickness, and choose a low-frequency probe for rough surfaces. Select explosion-proof models for dusty environments and high-temperature-resistant probes for high-temperature scenarios. Regularly calibrate the instrument using standard calibration blocks.
