Metal Roughness Tester

A metal roughness tester measures the profile undulation height by moving a probe in contact with the surface, calculating parameters such as Ra and Rz. It is used to inspect the quality of metal surface processing and monitor machining accuracy in fields such as mechanical manufacturing and automotive components.
Selection
When selecting, consider that the measurement range should cover the roughness values of the test piece, the probe material should be compatible with the hardness of the tested metal, and the instrument should be equipped with analysis software compliant with ISO/GB standards. Additionally, verify the validity of the instrument calibration certificate, and ensure that environmental vibration factors meet on-site conditions.
