Visual Inspection Microscope

Visual microscopes magnify surface details of objects through optical lenses and are used to observe the microstructure, defects, or component distribution of materials. In the coatings and inks industry, they can detect pigment dispersion; in the printing field, they analyze dot morphology; and in the plastics industry, they observe the crystalline state of cross-sections.
Selection
When selecting, consider matching the sample size with the stage. For routine inspections, choose a magnification of 100–400×. Metal materials require darkfield illumination. Use a polarizing attachment for observing plastic films, and pair with a measuring eyepiece for ink testing. Select upright or inverted models based on laboratory space, and opt for an anti-vibration table for high-frequency usage environments.

The necessity of a standard light source box in visual color comparison and color difference assessment of coatings.
In the production of coatings, accurate color evaluation is crucial. Visual color comparison is easily affected by light, as natural light is unstable, and different lighting conditions can make colors appear different.
Visual color comparison method using colorimetric tubes to determine the color phase of varnish.
Colorimetric tube visual colorimetry is a method used to determine the color hue tendency of varnish samples by directly comparing them with a standard color scale using the human eye. During operation, samples and standard liquid columns should be prepared using colorimetric tubes of consistent specifications under standard lighting conditions, and the hue differences should be observed in parallel.
Standardized ink color evaluation environment for visual color comparison cabinets
This article introduces the standardized application of visual color comparison boxes in ink color evaluation. It emphasizes that to ensure the accuracy and consistency of color judgments, the evaluation environment must be strictly controlled.
Application of Colorimeter and Color Matching Box in Pigment Color Inspection
A colorimeter and a light booth are two primary tools in pigment color inspection. The colorimeter measures color through photoelectric principles, while the light booth provides a standardized light source environment for visual evaluation of color effects, metamerism, and other phenomena.
Comparative Study of Lovibond Colorimeter and Iron-Cobalt Colorimeter
The Lovibond colorimeter and the iron-cobalt colorimeter are two widely used visual color measurement instruments in the industrial field. Both are designed based on the principle of standard color comparison, yet they exhibit significant differences in their specific implementation methods and application standards.
Application of Gardner Colorimeter in the Determination of Oil and Fat Color
The Lovibond tintometer determines the color of oils and fats by visually comparing them with standard glass color standards, with results expressed as numerical codes. During operation, clarified oil samples are poured into the colorimetric cell and compared with color chips under a stable light source.
