Ultrasonic Probe Thickness Gauge

The ultrasonic thickness gauge emits ultrasonic waves into the material through a probe, receives the reflected echoes, calculates the propagation time of the sound waves, and converts it into thickness based on the sound velocity of the material. It is used for measuring the thickness of materials such as metals and plastics, and is commonly applied in the inspection of pipe and container wall thickness.
Selection
When selecting, consider matching the probe frequency with the acoustic velocity characteristics of the material being measured. Use a low-frequency probe for rough surfaces and a high-frequency probe for thin materials. Choose the probe size and cable length based on the measurement environment, and use a high-temperature probe for high-temperature environments. Verify whether the instrument's calibration range and accuracy meet the requirements.
