Non-contact Color Measurement System

Non-contact colorimeters capture the reflected light from an object's surface through an optical lens, decompose it into spectral data via a spectroscopic system, and calculate the color coordinate differences. They are used to detect color differences in wet or uneven surfaces such as paints and plastics, avoiding contact contamination of samples.
Selection
When selecting, consider matching the measurement aperture to the sample size, ensuring a repeatability error of less than 0.04 ΔE, and compatibility with industry-standard color spaces. The observation light source type should adapt to the testing environment, and the instrument must pass metrological calibration. The data interface should be compatible with existing systems, and the protection rating should suit workshop conditions.
